Star Party at the Bell Museum

For those looking for a late-night option, the Bell Museum is hosting a Star Party every month this summer. They will have telescopes set up to observe the moon and other space objects (weather permitting). The museum will also be open for activities and a planetarium show. Minnesota History Center’s “Bands on the Boulevard” Music Series

July 11, 6:30 – 8:30 PM

Minnesota History Center is hosting an outdoor music series offering free concerts from local acts. This event is family friendly but can still make for a great date night. Bring your own lawn chair. There are options to purchase foods from food trucks.

Groovin’ in the Garden at the Como Zoo Conservatory

July 12, 6:00 – 8:00 PM

This FREE concert series in front of the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory will be held on Wednesdays in June and July from 6pm–8pm. Grab a blanket or some lawn chairs so you can enjoy the music in comfort. Another pro tip is to bring some bug spray/sunscreen as the grassy and wooded areas may expose you to the summer elements. Hotdogs, ice cream treats, beer and wine will be available to purchase.
