Only in MN will you find Snowkarting

Open starting Jan 11 for 2024 season!

If you like the thrill of skidding on ice and snow but not necessarily a full snowmobile adventure, try snowkarting. You can fulfill your Mario Kart Sherbet Land dreams by zooming through an icy and snowy course. Just off of 35N about 20 minutes north of the cities at the Running Aces Casino, Hotel, and Racetrack you can experience this chilling adventure first-hand.

 What to expect

Once you park and head to the track, expect to stop at a small booth or tent where a worker will check you in and verify your ticket. From there, you can wait near the heaters or watch others ahead of you racing. The zooming and buzzing from the karts cuts through the cold air and it is impossible to ignore.

What to bring

I probably cannot stress this enough, dress warmly. If you own snowmobile gear, bring it. Remember that you are zooming through the air creating serious windchills on the hands.  You also need a full face DOT (or higher) spec helmets. They have them provided at no additional cost.

 Is it worth it?

Sitting at $79 + tax per person for about 20 minutes of driving time, this is not a cheap activity. That said, it is such a unique experience for the adrenaline junkie in your life that it could make for a great party activity or special experience.
