12 Mini Golf Places To Try This Summer

Can Can Wonderland

St. Paul, MN

Located in an old canning factory in St. Paul, Can Can Wonderland broke through the Twin Cities mini golf scene as one of the first indoor artist-designed courses. They took an open call for artists ranging from students to professionals to design full 18 holes. Expect to pay a cover to get access to the building plus a round of golf. While it is not a cheap date, this mini golf location is a must-visit at least once.

Moose Mountain Adventure Golf (Mall of America)

Bloomington, MN

Many locals may avoid the famous shopping center due to the crowds and the overwhelming size, but you seriously might be missing out. Near the north food court and overlooking Nickelodeon Universe, this Minnesota themed 18-hole mini golf is surprisingly fun. Book both Moose Mountain and Rock of Ages and save a few dollars.

Rock of Ages Blacklight Minigolf (Mall of America)

Bloomington, MN

What is more fun than adding a little black-lights to your mini golf adventure? If you are looking for something a little more edgy, hit up the Rock of Ages Blacklight Mini Golf course on the east side of the Mall of America. Book both Moose Mountain and Rock of Ages and save a few dollars.

Grand Slam Mini Golf

Burnsville, MN and Coon Rapids, MN

Get the chance to be a kid again (any maybe surrounded by kids) at this pirate-themed mini golf. Unfortunately, you will not enjoy the perks of an "adult night," but you will still be sure to have fun with them offering several late-night specials where you can have access to Mini Golf, Krazy Kars, and Laser Tag.

Victoria Burrow

Sports simulators, mini golf, karaoke, pickleball, axe throwing, ropes course, laser tag, OH MY! Not even exhausting the list of experiences and activities, this place has something for everyone. Be prepared to wait because this place is always packed but enjoy a night out or a double date trying a variety of activities.

Big Stone Mini Golf and Sculpture Garden

Minnetrista, MN

When art meets nature, you get Big Stone Mini Golf. In what seems to be an eccentric artist’s back yard, you can enjoy not only 14 creatively designed holes, but also find plenty of places to play, sit, and see the animals. That's right, there is a host of farm animals throughout the farm. Want to make a full day out of it? Bring your own food and hang out at one of the designed tables or out in the field. The integration in nature makes this one of my favorite mini golf courses in the metro.

Note: this is a cash-only establishment and there is no ATM on site.

Skyline Golf at Walker Art Center

Minneapolis, MN

Art and mini golf combine in this course. While I wouldn’t suggest only going here for the mini golf, it is a great stop on your way into downtown or the North Loop area. Plus, when you are done you can round up and check out the art museum as well.

Centennial Lakes

Edina, MN

It's not mini golf, it's golf in miniature! A part of the Centennial Lakes area (which is a great spot for ice skating in the winter), this mini golf course is a little bit of Zen in the bustling area of Edina. Surrounded by luxury condos and shops, it feels like a little mini country club.

Uptown Collab x Arts + Rec

Uptown Minneapolis, MN

Uptown has had a bit of an identity crisis since 2020. With the murder of George Floyd and the subsequent economic impact of the pandemic on the shops, many once popular locations are now shuttered. In a matter of reclaiming the space, Uptown Collab is looking to attract like-minded people to the Uptown mall. It's not your average mall. Mini golf check-in is inside a record shop where you can enjoy browsing some albums. The only disappointing part is that there are only 12 holes and because they are so unique, you just wish that there were more!

Wheel Fun Rentals Veterans Memorial Park

Richfield, MN

As a part of the Veterans Memorial Park in Richfield, this centrally located mini golf spot has plenty to offer. In addition to affordable mini-golf, the local snack bar has sweets and treats to enjoy. The family-friendly park means you can decide if you leave the kids at home.

The Links at Dred Scott

Bloomington, MN

No fuss and no frills at this laidback mini golf course located in a Bloomington city park. Full 18 holes that have a combination of challenging ‘scapes and water features. When you are done, you can stop and grab some ice cream at Scoops.

The Drive In

Taylors Falls, MN

Taylors Falls is about an hour out of the city but a great day trip for those looking for a bit of nature  and cool views. Before grabbing a burger and shake at the famous Drive In, you can enjoy this quaint 18 hole mini golf course behind the restaurant. I wouldn’t make the trip just for the mini golf, but it might be a fun activity to add to your day trip.
